AITEC Africa is proud to present a unique training opportunity with one of Europe’s thought and practice leaders in data security strategy formulation and implementation: Dr Almarindo Graziano. We have been able to secure a week out of his busy schedule to travel to Nairobi in order to provide personalised training in a challenging and enjoyable bootcamp for East Africa’s ICT managers and business continuity practitioners. Protecting information is of paramount importance for every organization today, as demonstrated by the rising number of high profile information security breaches. Every time such incidents occur, organizations face great financial losses and put their reputation and customer trust at risk. ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is the internationally recognized standard that helps organizations protect their sensitive information by also managing people, processes and information systems. The objective of this course is to provide delegates with the necessary skills and tools to implement an ISO27001 compliant Information Security Management System (ISMS) for the co-ordinated management of all business activities so that sensitive information can remain secure. The course also addresses the requirements of BS 25999, the world's first British standard for business continuity management (BCM). Continued operations in the event of a disruption, whether due to a major disaster or a minor incident, is a fundamental requirement for any organisation wanting to preserve its reputation and the ability to continue to operate and trade.
