Three companies, including KPLC, apply for licenses to provide internet facilities.

Three companies, Sea Submarine Communications Ltd, Teleworth Communications and the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), have applied for licenses for the provision and operation of submarine cable landing, content services and internet networking facilities.

The licenses will be allocated sixty days from October 9, 2008 if no objection is raised.
