Fina Bank, a thriving commercial bank targeting the SME market, hosted a cocktail to mark the official opening of its new Gikomba Branch on Thursday, 27 November 2008 This marks the fifth branch to be launched in 2008, a move which has been facilitated by the need to better serve its growing list of customers within the thriving SME industry.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Wambugu Wainaina, who officially launched the new branch. Fina Bank currently has a branch presence of nine branches countrywide and is in the midst of an ambitious expansion plan that has seen it launched in Uganda and should see it spread further into East Africa in the next few years.
“The new Gikomba branch is a response to the demands of its customers within the Gikomba vicinity and is a logical business decision in light of the fact that Gikomba is a prime area for small businesses, our very source of business”, said Fina Bank CEO Rob Warlow. It is expected to generate plenty of customers and could likely become one of the bank’s key branches.
