Nairobi, 11 December 2008 ---Telkom Kenya announced it will bring iPhone 3G to Kenya on 11 November 2008. iPhone 3G combines all the revolutionary features of iPhone; built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services and iPhone 2.0 software which includes support for Microsoft Exchange Active Sync and runs thousands of third party applications available through the new App Store. Telkom Kenya is launching a range of plans to ensure that customers have the very best mobile internet experience.
"We are excited to be the only network provider to offer iPhone 3G in Kenya from 11 November 2008. With our network capabilities and widespread broadband coverage, Orange mobile customers in Kenya will be able to experience the full iPhone 3G experience, 'said Dominique Saint-Jean, CEO Telkom Kenya.
The iPhone 3G will be available from Orange shops in Nairobi, Mombasa and all cities where GSM network is available.
The combination of widespread EDGE and Wi-Fi over Orange Broadband networks mean customers can fully enjoy the mobile internet almost wherever they go. In addition, Orange's iPhone 3G plans include everything needed for a great customer experience: voice credits, SMS, data traffic.
