Appointments
Under the State Corporations Act, the president appoints Joseph Gilbert Kibe as the Chairman of the Horticultural Crops Development Authority for a period of three years, effective from 18 April 2009.
Applications for CCK Licenses
The following companies have applied to the Communications Commissions of Kenya (CCK) to obtain a license as intra-country postal/courier operator: Luxury Shuttles and Tours Ltd, Meru, MTN Investment Company, Murang’a, Namuga Co-operative Savings and Credit Society Ltd, Mukurweini, and Malindi Parcel Services Ltd, Mombasa.
The following company has applied to the CCK to obtain a license as a network facility provider tier 2: S.V. Wimax Ltd., Nairobi.
The following companies have applied to the CCK to obtain a license as a network facility provider tier 3: Mobility Network Ltd, Nairobi, and Electronics Technology Group Ltd, Nairobi.
KPLC Schedule of Tariffs for the Supply of Electricity
Pursuant to clause 1 of Part III of the Schedule of Tariffs 2008, all prices for electrical energy specified in Part II of the schedule will be liable to a fuel cost adjustment of plus 392 cents per kWh, for all meter readings taken in April 2009.
