Nairobi, 8 November 2011 --- YuMobile has joined the Gmail SMS service providing its subscribers with a platform to chat with Google mail users via sms.

The service which is real-time is free to receive messages on any yuMobile number, but will cost KES3 to send a sms in response to Google mail chat messages.

Speaking while launching the new product, yuMobile Country Manager Madhur Taneja said: “We are proud to empower our subscribers from all walks of life with the ability to enjoy the benefits of real-time communication. With the introduction of this service, our subscribers can turn their mobile phones into full-function personal communications device. The service is more convenient, secure and easy to use.”

“We are committed to providing the best in innovative and inspirational products to our subscribers and we are constantly looking to make the yuMobile customer experience more engaging and superior in quality by seeking out products and services which provide real value to our users." Mr. Taneja concluded.

The Gmail SMS service is the latest addition to the yuMobile product stable which already boasts of free calls all day, KES0.50 per minute data and KES0.50 sms across networks amongst many others.
